I have a great story for you guys. As I was feeding my Guapotes the other day, like usual the little painted turtle comes out to get some scraps. The Guapotes are about 5 lbs. now and the turtle is about the size of a small hand. When I first put him in there I was worried that he would get eaten but he some how survived. The turtle grabbed on to a piece of liver that was about half of the size of his body. He knew darn well that he was looking for trouble in this feeding frenzy. Sure enough one of the larger Quapotes struck at the liver. As he did he engulfed the liver along with the turtles head. Good thing that the shell was too large to fit in the fishes mouth. I expected the turtle to scurry away with fear. Well that was just enough to seriously piss the turtle off. Not only was he hungry but also embarrassed. I figured he'd find another piece of liver as I continued throwing in the water. The turtle made a B-line over to the shadows where the large Guapote was enjoying his meal and rammed him in the side. The Guapote took off and the turtle returned to the feeding frenzy. Now that a turtle with and attitude.
