Lol im sticking with my sowing thread.

Finally somewhat decent vid of them.

I have never kept more than 2 or 3 of the same fish and that was only for a couple of weeks to pick out the best looking fish and sell the rest with 10 of these guys its interesting to watch their behavior.

2 of them flash darker colors and deeper blues at times and one of them has staked out a territory and defends it. But i dont see any fear of him from the other fish is that a dominance thing or just territorial?

Be warned--they're mean. And they get big. Mine has recently taken over my tank. From big baby to holy terror for no reason at all. Chasing fish all over the tank all day long.

I can't do photos. I don't have the patience. Pause this at 10 seconds, and that's a pretty good shot of him :)

And this is how acts at the house! All day acting like this! "Get outta my way! Get outta my way! MOVE!" Good thing he's fat and slow.

Trip was nice. Maine was nice and cool, good break from South Louisiana in July. We drove back through Virginia. Gotta say, the Shenandoah Valley and the Western part of Massachussetts are the nicest parts of the country. Just awesome scenery.

And don't be surprised if he turns green. Mine went from gray to green at about 4-5 inches. He was green for months, and then it all turned blue.

Lmaooooo that dude wants to take on everyone !!! Yeah i love maine. Wife and i are planning on getting out of nyc may move to delaware cant wait.

I wanna get these zonatus a larger tank asap but seems like a waste since im gonna upgrade the other tank and give these guys the 150.

I have a question and this is gonna sound really stupid cuz i know they are too small to sex but some of them have nice oval heads while others have a little point or small bump at the top of the head right before the dorsal starts.... whats the deal could 5hey be the males ?

VERY hard to tell. I'm not totally sure mine's a male to tell you the truth. I just figure he's got kinda a bulge on his forehead, he's at least a foot long, he must be a male. Of the 4 I originally bought, this one is the only one that made it past 6 inches, so I haven't seen enough adult Zonatus to be able to tell by looking.

I have 4 more Zonatus growing out in a 125, and they all look the same. They're about 3-4 inches, no differences gender wise in any of them. So maybe I have all female grow outs, cause none have any steepness in the forehead at all. Could be.
