I will pass this tip on to the bro-in-law, and try it for myself at some point. Is black cherry brandy common?
 
Tried my hand at Beef Wellington tonight. Instead of dijon, the coating is made with garlic, finely-chopped shiitake mushrooms, and spices blended in a pate de campagne. Served with a side of roasted brussel sprouts in onion and bacon. Delish!!!
