Cheap plants, less nitrate! POTHOS

Any way to make my plants grow faster?? I read somewhere ere that using a cfl bulb helps.. Wanted to ask what kind and color? Right now I got a normal 14W white tubelight..

Never got lucky with aquatic plants :(
 
Getting some crazy growth on my plants. Pothos have no noticable growth over a 3 week period, coleus have grown 1", bamboo no noticable growth, morning glory vine has grown 4" in just 2 weeks.

morning glory INdoors? do you have super light?
 
Nope they are growing like that with no added light. I just went and got a bunch more out of my flower bed and added them also. Seems to be getting the best growth so wabt to add a bunch in so they can clean faster. :)

they'd probably need sun to flower though, ya think?
 
Im not sure but they are growing well. The room gets a lot of sunlight but nothing direct on this tank. Someone told me they call this variety night lace? Not sure gonna do some research lol. Seems very hardy for sure though. :) i will update as it goes.

They use a full light spectrum from 6000k-7000k, make sure the lumens are 900+. Same as all aquatic plants. Go to Walmart and grab some daylight cfl

Vet is it normal for the roots to grow leaves? I pulled all the other leaves so just the roots are in the water and now two vines are growing leaves out the roots

Thank you F1 for this thread! I will be adding Pothos but I have Uarus and they eat all plants. So to keep them out of reach I figure Ill put them in my filter.

My question is does anyone have an tips on keeping cats away from the plants? A full proof way..

I read up to pg 31. :P
