Lots of pics past and present

Hello Chris,
Long time no speak. Hope your ok mate.

The eacg collapsed due to inactivity. It was a real shame. The forum had some very knowledgeable members and was a great place to visit.
Lee Nuttal introduced me to the forum some years back. Back then it was thriving. Sadly it became dead and had to close.
Any way,it's good to hear from you again Chris.
All the best.

Ah, I figured that's what happened. Certainly is a shame, as there was a lot of talent and info over on those boards. I can't really talk though as I have been pretty much non existent on the boards I use to frequent often as well. I think social media is the main reason as there are so many different "aquaria" groups now on places like Facebook. People are simply sharing pics and info that way now it seems.

Good looking setup Stanz. Are you done with Centrals now?
Thanks Chris.
No I'm not done with centrals. I have a small group of Rheoheros lentinginosus in another tank with a few fat otapa swordtails. I'm also itching to get some more thorichthys. Thorichthys are still one of my favourite fish species and I really miss keeping them.
I just enjoy the diversity of a south American tank.

Gotcha, I must have missed that somewhere in this 58 page thread! ;) I believe lents prefer cooler, faster flowing water? That could be an interesting biotope project.

I still have two Thorichthys species, meeki and pasionis. I will most likely sell off all but a pair of my meeki and then give the pair their own 40B. I have unfortunately lost 3 of my 10 pasionis to some kind of wasting disease. Not sure what exactly is causing it but out of the remaining 7 it looks like I only have a single male. I'll most likely narrow them down to the lone male and a few of the best looking females.

Sounds like a good plan.
Your tank looks stunning mate, just how I like to see a c/a tank.

Regarding the Lents, yes they are generally a riverine species and I keep mine in a unheated tank.
I've found they do just fine in little flow or strong flow. They just need good aeration in my experience.
Although they are primarily a riverine species, wild populations have been found in Lake miramar.

Just watched your video, and man all those neons make for an amazing display! Absolutely amazing work :)
