cool additions, always liked festivums. Tank lookin great
Thanks Gourami,
To be honest I have never really bothered with festivums before . I like them enough but there one of those species that slipped through the net.
Mine have not fully settled in yet so I'm looking forward to seeing them at their best.
They can be found with the rest of my stock in nature so I thought I would give them a go.

Awesome leaf litter setup! Catappa leaves are super expensive here which really sucks, so only the shrimpers use them

Thanks Hendre .
I paid £20 for 200 of them. I've always collected my own leaves in the past but wanted to see what all the fuss was about with catappa leaves. I like the way they look and they add a lot of tannins but to be honest I don't see that they are any better than oak leaves.
I have some banana plants growing in my garden,I've heard banana leaves are good for black water tanks so I will be trying those next.

That's really cheap compared to here.

Banana fronds would be interesting, would love to see the progress :)

My LFS has one that is around 7" that's not for sale in one of their big planted tanks. At that size, they become really impressive. I can imagine a school of them like that would be beautiful

7 inches, geez I don't think I've ever seen one above 5. I bet he is impressive. Mine are only about 1.5 inch so have a long way to go.
