Lots of pics past and present

Nice! I wonder if they choose leaves naturally due to the potential antifungal properties they provide?

I don't know

I have no idea Chris.
I do find that open spawners often choose a leaf as a spawn site if they can.
I've seen cichlids pick up a leaf full of eggs and move it to another part of the tank. I always put that down as their reason for choosing them.
Who knows what their instincts are telling them?

Congrats Darren, it didn’t take them long.
No Steve, it didn't take long.
I was not expecting it to be honest. I did not see any courtship or build up. I was just looking at the tank and noticed they had eggs.
It's their first spawn so I'm not expecting it to be very successful. The eggs are still there though. I'm surprised they lasted the night with all the catfish I have. The rams are doing a great job keeping tetras away, to the point,I think the tetras have given up.

Exciting to see the Rams already spawning Stan. They are beauties!
I am getting a group of 3 pairs in a couple weeks from a local breeder, hopefully I will get them to spawn as well.

My discus just spawned a couple days ago. Here is a picture of them around the cone: :)
