plans for the weekend - /\/\onster canister set up

Sorry for the noob question but can someone put the media list into liters for ordering purposes maybe a link for cheapest if possible?


2'' Sera Siporax/EhfiMech mix
2'' EhfiFix
top off with 6'' Ehfi substrat pro and substrat
finish with a layer of floss and the lattice screen
 
wow... with that filtration and that amount of plants you'd get away with almost any stock..

the ehfi substrat is BRUTAL!
 
2260 is the filter to have. I have one running for more than a year without maintenance. Water flow is enormous.

The 2280, on the other hand, is a nightmare......
 
What are the dimenions of the fully assembled canister? How tall and whats the diameter? Looking to get one for a 180g I'm buying but I want to know what size stand I'm going to need.

Why don't you rotate the pump on its mounting plate? It is a pain to slide the pump off its gray plate but well worth it so you have clearance. I had to tap the plate off the pump with a plastic headed hammer so as not to crack it. Here is a pic of what I did so it would fit under my 220 tank.

It also makes it much easier to get the filter out from the stand when it's maintenance time.

If it isn't too much trouble could you measure from the bottom of the canister to the top of the pump for me? My tank stand I built isn't that tall and I wonder if I would even have a chance of it fitting. Thanks!!! Nice mod too!
