Haha, just looked at it again. There goes my idea of getting a 24" tall stand... Might have to just suck it up and build my own.

It's 21 5/8" from floor of stand to top of pump. I do have to tilt the filter to get it out of the stand for cleaning. The door opening on my Perfect stand is 20 1/2" tall.

Are the hose sizes for that filter 5/8 and 1 inch?

Yes. Intake hose is 25mm or 1 inch I.D. The output hose is 16mm or 5/8 inch I.D.

These are my FIRST canisters EVER, previously I used AC110's on everthing, still do on my 1 small 22-gallon.

If this tank was not up against a wall, I would have put 3 AC110's on the back of it with the canisters, its 150-gallons.

Can't say anything but, GOOD as far as Eheim.

I was going to get 3 FX5's and save a lot of $$$ but I was tired of reading up on all the failures and issues with them.

Loyal to Hagen for there HOB AC110's, but for canisters Uhh?? I dunno.

These are Eheim Pro3e 2078's, each ONE loaded with 2 liters of Ehfimech and 6 liters of Ehfisubstrat Pro.

The tanks nice and clean, and you have a really nice jag, but 18 liters of biomedia? Thats nuts. I don't see how you can rationalize using $300 worth of biomedia for 1 fish.

Well the plans were not for a single JAG...

Started with 3 fairly large KOI, lost them because tank was not cycled.

Next I added Dr Tims live bacteria to the tank, then added a huge school of baby tinfoil barbs.

Finally had the tank cycled.

Sold off the tinfoils, picked up some nice walkin goldfish, all was good for a few months.

Then one started showing signs of an internal bacterial infection, bloating up, string white poops, and it just spread, ended up losing them all and my mind!

After cleaning entire tank, reloading filters, picked up this JAG.

I always loved JAGS and had a nice female from Rapps a few years back, (was supposed to be a male upon arrival).

I saw this JAG in a store for a few months, and when my tank was empty, he was still there, and well the rest is history.

The tank even though small for KOI was supposed to be for KOI. My plans were to do massive water changes and have the tank filtered as best I could.

I pulled this off before in a 220 gallon outdoor pre-form pond. I had around 12 koi in it, but I changed 75% water DAILY, never missing EVER.

The fish were all butterfly koi, smaller then your standard koi.
